About this program
Community Konnector is a CSR initiative by Andreas STIHL, Pune launched in 2022 to enhance the overall well-being, educational opportunities, and health outcomes of children and adults from marginalized families. The program responds to the interconnected challenges of poor nutrition, limited access to digital learning, and delayed identification of health concerns in tribal communities.
In Murbad, tribal children and families often face barriers that affect regular learning, nutritional security, and access to timely healthcare. SNEH Foundation designed Community Konnector as an integrated village-level initiative that combines school support, nutrition interventions, and medical monitoring rather than treating these issues in isolation.
The program focuses on strengthening everyday systems around children and families: improving access to education, supporting breakfast nutrition, enabling digital learning, conducting regular medical check-ups including anthropometry, and building community ownership so the impact can be sustained over time.

Story of impact
Murbad Community
Through Community Konnector, SNEH Foundation and Andreas STIHL, Pune adopted a tribal village in Murbad with a deliberate focus on nutrition, education, and healthcare together. This created a more consistent support system for children and families instead of one-time interventions.
Children received support for education, access to digital learning through a smart TV, and dry breakfast snacks that strengthened day-to-day nutritional support. At the same time, medical camps and anthropometric assessments helped identify health concerns early and track growth more systematically.
The initiative has already supported 162+ education beneficiaries and reached 630+ beneficiaries through medical camps. Its longer-term strength lies in sustainability measures such as community engagement, capacity building, school-based Nutri-Gardens, follow-up camps, and collaboration with local stakeholders.
