The Story
About this program
Project Gyan has been run by SNEH Foundation since 2014 with the objective of supporting underprivileged children from the community and helping them achieve academic success. Under this project, we conduct various educational activities, provide academic support, and help children with syllabus-related learning.
During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, schools were closed and many children were unable to continue their education effectively. To ensure that their learning continued, we started online classes. Several dedicated teachers from outside India joined us and voluntarily supported the children through online teaching. Following the success of this initiative, we expanded the program and now provide online classes for students up to Grade 12.

Online education became an effective way to connect experienced teachers with our children and provide quality learning opportunities. These achievements demonstrate that, despite living in slum communities and facing socio-economic challenges, children can excel academically when provided with the right guidance and opportunities.

Story of impact
Prajyot, Amira & Amita
The results of Project Gyan have been encouraging. In 2025, two of our Grade 10 students, Prajyot Kamble and Amira, scored 85% in their board examinations.
In 2026, our student Amita Sardar achieved an outstanding 93% score.
