Persistence and Passion Drive Success

Shashikant Bajrang Tambe, a 5-year-old from Shantinagar, Bhosari, had not been enrolled in any school due to ongoing health problems with his eyes and kidneys. His family was unable to navigate the medical and administrative systems on their own.

SNEH Foundation stepped in — first verifying the family’s condition and enrolling Shashikant at SNEH Preschool, then simultaneously coordinating his medical care. Treatment was initiated at Sable Hospital for his kidney issue and Desai Hospital for his eyesight.

After a sustained period of treatment, Shashikant recovered successfully. Doctors started him on multivitamins, iron, and calcium to build his immunity. With his health stabilised, the SNEH team supported the family through the RTE admission process — handling documentation and form-filling.

Shashikant’s journey shows that for a vulnerable child, access to both healthcare and education often requires the same supportive hand.
