Bravery Through Turbulent Times

Shaurya's family migrated to Pune from Vidarbha in search of a better life. When the pandemic hit, his father lost his job and the family was separated for months. Eventually, they reunited in Pune's Kalewadi area, but the instability had taken a toll on young Shaurya.

At 4 years old, when Shaurya enrolled in SNEH Community Preschool, he was extremely shy, had difficulty concentrating, and rarely interacted with other children. The upheaval of migration and pandemic had disrupted his formative years.

The preschool teachers worked patiently with Shaurya, using activity-based learning and gentle encouragement. Slowly, he began to participate — first in drawing, then in group songs, and eventually in classroom discussions.

Today, Shaurya is one of the most enthusiastic learners in his class. He greets his teachers with a smile every morning, participates actively in all activities, and has made friends he looks forward to seeing each day. His transformation is a reminder that stability, care, and structured learning can heal what disruption has caused.
